Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, in which each player's goal is to surround more territory than their opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day. This particular Go board is a smaller "skirmish" sized version, comprised of a 13x13 intersected grid, typically used by players to quickly learn the different strategies and scoring, but just as challenging as the larger, standard 19x19 grid. This board features a hand-drawn motif of vines and/or thorns, each board completely unique from the next; the artwork burned into the wood surface utilizing the art of pyrography. A great addition to any board game enthusiast's collection, and sure to challenge the mind and please the eyes for decades to come.

• OBJECT OF THE GAME: Go is a 2-player game of placement and territory capture/control. Starting with an empty board, players take turns placing marbles one at a time to create chains (or territories). A chain can continue to be built until no empty spaces surround it; players may intentionally surround an opponent's chain to not only stop the expansion but capture the pieces within, which are then removed from the board and kept by the capturing player. The game is over when neither player can capture further territory, nor place further marbles that would affect the final outcome. The player who has captured the most territory wins the game. A rules pamphlet is included with the game.
