Daldøs is a Norwegian board game utilizing "running-fight" game mechanics; a truly challenging contest of elimination featuring distinctive stick dice called Dals, set within the confines of a Viking longship. Daldøs is only known from a few coastal locations in southern Scandinavia, where its history can be traced back to around 1800, making it a more contemporary game. This game board set is handcrafted from hardwood and decorated with thematic artwork which is burned directly into the surface of the wood by hand. A creation that will equally decorate and entertain, this game can serve as an excellent means to spend quality time with a friend or family member. The game can be intensely challenging, yet not daunting, and is conceived as a functional fine piece of art with heirloom potential, built to last for generations.

• PLAYING PIECES: 24+ playing pieces uniquely created for this set. Produced from birch plywood with a laser engraver, hand assembled and finished. Stick dice (3) are created from hardwood matching the board. A drawstring pouch is included for storage, and extras are included in case of loss.

• OBJECT OF THE GAME: the object of Daldøs is to remove all enemy pieces from the board while moving along a set course within the ship. An enemy piece is removed when another piece ends/lands at the same position on the board. A rules pamphlet is included with the game.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Due to the nature of the majority of my work, and the typical amount of business that comes through my shop, wholesale items are not available.

Holiday ordering
During the Christmas holiday season, I can quickly become VERY busy; typically putting in 12 hour days in order to make holiday shipping deadlines.
Please plan ahead - I begin taking Christmas orders in late August, but due to workload, I will close the shop to further made-to-order requests the first week of December. Ready to ship items remain listed and ship as stated in their listing.
Shipping times
In the case of any custom or Made To Order item, I try very hard to meet the listed production/ship time for the listed item. However, I am a one-man shop, and the handcrafted nature of the work, particularly during busy periods, can cause delays. If you require your item by a specific date, please inquire first.
